Man 'stole hundreds of pounds' from elderly woman

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man stole hundreds of pounds from an elderly woman as she sat in a car.

North Wales Police said the woman had withdrawn the money from the Post Office on High Street in Denbigh, at about 12.30pm.

After returning to the car at the bottom of Bull Lane/Hall Square, a young man and woman approached the vehicle.

The man opened the passenger door, leant over and suggested she had dropped some money.

As the two left she realised the money had been stolen from her open bag.

PCSO Green from North Wales Police said:

The man is described as being of skinny build and was wearing a hat, while the female was said to have blonde hair, a round face and was wearing bright pink trainers.
