A man who bit off another man’s eyebrow and then spat it out in an unprovoked attack in a pub has been jailed for six years.

Simon Andrew Morris attacked Aled Wyn Jones at The Cross Foxes in Prestatyn last December, but claims to have no memory of it.

Judge Rowlands told the court that he attacked Mr Jones for no reason at all and he "lost his temper in drink and attacked an innocent man".

The court heard the victim was with friends when he was thrown to the floor by a man who bit his face.

Morris did not let go, despite the people trying to stop him.

"I remember him pulling at my skin and feeling my eyebrow coming off in his mouth," said Mr. Jones.

“The pain was excruciating."

“I felt my skin rip off. I was aware of a crowd of people pulling him off me.”

Emergency services were able to attach his eyebrow back on, but it had since become detached and he now requires more surgery.
