Man dies after assault outside hospital
A 24-year-old man has died after he was assaulted outside a hospital.
South Wales Police is now appealing for witnesses following the incident at Maesteg Community Hospital car park at around 6.15pm on Wednesday, August 30th.
Gavin Rees was taken to the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, with serious injuries but died yesterday (September 20th).
Detective Inspector Dean Llewellyn of South Wales Police Major Crime Investigations Team said:
A 44-year-old man from Llanharry, who was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent following the incident, remains on police bail while further enquiries are carried out.
