Man charged with stabbing a police officer in Cardiff
A 26-year-old man is due in court after being charged with stabbing a police officer in Cardiff.
The officer was executing a warrant at an address on Newport Road close to the city centre on Tuesday 19 September.
Abdirahman Hashi, from the Canton area of the capital, has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon and with wounding with intent.
The officer was taken to the University Hospital of Wales where he was treated for his injuries - which are not believed to be life threatening.
