ITV colleagues to take part in Pride Cymru celebrations

ITV Cymru Wales is delighted to be taking part in this year's Pride Cymru's Big Weekend 2017 in Cardiff.

With more than 200,000 people expected to gather in Wales' capital city for the three-day festival of music, food and celebrations, it is a great opportunity to reinforce ITV's commitment to inclusivity and diversity across our organisation.

Following the success of last year, the festival will also see Rob Osborne, Ruth Wignall and Carole Green taking to the stage on the City Hall lawn on Saturday to present to the crowds.

In what is expected to be the largest celebration of diversity in Wales, employees - including some of our on-screen journalists - will be joining the colourful Pride Parade with thousands of others.

Starting at 11am, the parade will begin at the top of Queens Street and finish at 12:30 on North Road. Headline acts include Fun Lovin' Criminals, Bright Light Bright Light, Into the Ark and Charlotte Church.

There will be a festival atmosphere right across the city catering to everyone - with a firework display on Saturday and a funfair and family area for children.

Launched in 2012, ITV Pride has provided a key link for our Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community across our UK and international sites. With membership growing every year, the network has a vital role in translating diversity and inclusiveness commitments and policies into benefits for the whole of ITV.

Here’s how we joined the celebration at this year’s Pride in London.

It promises to be a weekend of fun, music and diversity, so keep an eye out for us and help us celebrate all things Pride!
