Man in court over attempted abduction of 4-year-old

A man charged with the attempted abduction of a child in North Wales has been remanded in custody.

50-year-old Krzysztof Ogonowski pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Ogonowski, of Maes y Coed in Flint, allegedly tried to take a four-year-old girl on August 20, during a Morris Dancing Majorettes competition.

Officers were called following reports a man had allegedly tried to take the girl from outside the town’s leisure centre.

According to police at the time, a man was detained by members of the public at the scene.

He will appear before Mold Crown Court on September 22.
