Date confirmed for Severn Tolls to be handed over to public ownership

The Severn Bridge Tolls will revert to public ownership on 8 January, paving the way for tolls to be scrapped by the end of the year, the UK Government has confirmed.

Monmouth MP David Davies said he received a response from the transport department which he said confirmed the pledge was 'not some wild manifesto promise.'
