£50m to 'further reduce' NHS waiting times
The Welsh Government has unveiled plans to invest £50m into the NHS in Wales to help reduce waiting times.
Health Secretary Vaughan Gething says the money will be targeted to improve waiting times for elective surgery, diagnostics and therapies.
Referrals to hospital based services have increased by around 20% over the last five years - up to 1.27 million in the 12 months ending March 2016.
