Cardiff man accused of Finsbury Park terror attack to face trial in New Year
A man accused of carrying out the Finsbury Park terror attack will face trial in the New Year.
Darren Osborne appeared via video link from Belmarsh Prison for a 20 minute hearing at London's Old Bailey.
During that hearing a date was set for his trial of the 22nd of January next year.
Mr. Osborne 47, of Glyn Rhosyn, in Cardiff, allegedly mowed down Akram Ali, 51, and nine other people on a crowded pavement in north London.
The area was busy with Muslim worshippers attending Ramadan night prayers at the time.
The father of four was arrested and later charged with murder and attempted murder.
The defendant was remanded in custody and will appear - again via video link - for a further hearing in November.
