Church collapse: What we know so far
A man has been found dead after being trapped under a 'large amount of rubble' following the collapse of a church in Cardiff.
Two people escaped the collapse with minor injuries.
The disused former chapel was surrounded by scaffolding and being taken down by workmen before the structure collapsed.
There has been heavy disruption on the trains between Cardiff Newport and London after debris fell close to the line.
The building was reportedly formerly Mount Tabor Chapel was built in 1892 before later being used as a Salvation Army centre from 1916.
A recent planning application from June stated the building was in a 'dangerous state of repair' and that renovation of the existing building was 'not feasible'.
A spokesman for Network Rail said the line had been closed for safety reasons due to an "obstruction."
Two lines were later reopened for trains as rescue teams were called into to examine the wreckage.
