Council says the cladding is being checked to reassure pupils and parents
Rhyl High School will be closed for the rest of the week while safety checks are made on cladding on its new building.
Denbighshire Council says it has confirmed that the external cladding sheet used on the building was manufactured by the same company as that used on Grenfell Tower.
The council says it will review its fire risk assessments where the cladding has bene used focussing on fire escape and emergency arrangements.
A letter has been sent to all parents of pupils at the school.
