Paul Dummett hopes for Wales future despite Chris Coleman's comments

Paul Dummett wants to play for Wales in the future, his club Newcastle have said.

Dragons boss Chris Coleman claimed on Thursday the full-back "did not want to play international football" after naming his squad ahead of next month's World Cup qualifier with Serbia.

Speaking to the BBC Coleman added that "international football is not the path he (Dummett) wants to go down".

But Newcastle said in a statement that the player has not retired from the international game and is attempting to get fit.
