Presenter Alex Jones jokes her return to work is 'much easier' than being a mum
New mother Alex Jones has joked that her return to The One Show was "much easier" than being off on maternity leave.
The presenter, who's forty, took time off from the BBC show after having a son in January.
Co-host Matt Baker asked how being back at work compared to being at home and she quipped: "Much easier.
"I've had a cup of tea with two hands - that's amazing!"
She added: "Why didn't you tell me it was so difficult? Nobody says that, do they?"
Jones said she felt as if she had not left the show and that she had had "the best three and a half months".
On Twitter, fans were delighted to see her back alongside Baker.
One said: "Great to have @MissAlexjones back. You've been sorely missed."
"@MissAlexjones we have missed you! Welcome back - it wasn't the same without you," said another.
The presenter said she was initially returning to the programme for two days a week.
Michelle Ackerley and Angela Scanlon fronted the programme with Baker while Jones was off.
The presenter has previously talked about her pregnancy fears, including that she'd left it "too late" to have children.
