More footpaths in Snowdonia added to Google Street View
From today, 17 footpaths in Snowdonia will be seen for the first time on Google Street View.
Google Street View launched in 2007, with the company travelling around the world to capture panoramic 360° images of the world's streets.
Two years ago, Google started using a device called the 'Google Trekker', which allows the company to venture into places that were inaccessible to vehicles.
The Snowdonia National Park Authority says the new footpaths added to Google Street View will also be able to give people 'an idea of the terrain' before people arrive, helping them to make an informed decision about which path is suitable for them.
