Launched by the Prince of Wales in 2010, Size of Wales is a Cardiff-based charity which helps to protect an area of rainforest twice the size of Wales as part of Wales' national response to climate change.

The climate change charity works with schools, employers and community groups across Wales to help protect four million hectares of rainforest in Africa and South America.

While at the school, the Prince planted a tree to launch the school’s twinning programme which links them, via Size of Wales, to a school in Uganda, which will also have a tree planted in its grounds.

Prince Charles later went on to visit ex-service personnel in Nantgarw, before heading west to learn about efforts to save White Park Cattle from extinction at Dinefwr Park, Llandeilo.
