Cardiff Airport sees passenger numbers rise to more than 1.3m
Cardiff Airport has seen the number of passengers travelling through the airport reach 1.3 million, in 2016.
This marks an increase of 16% on the year before.
The airport say Cardiff is one of the fastest growing airports in the UK, and that a quarter of passengers through the airport are visitors to Wales.
The boost in passenger numbers has been helped by the launch of new services to Verona and Berlin, as well as the introduction of flights to London City Airport.
In 2017, Cardiff Airport say they will be launching new flights to Madrid, Guernsey and Rome.
