Wales marks Armistice Day with two minute silence

A two minute silence was held across Wales today to mark Armistice Day and remember those who gave their lives in battle.

The Senedd in Cardiff fell silent at 11:00am and the Last Post was sounded to mark the ultimate sacrifice made by Welsh soldiers.

The two minute silence for Armistice Day at Caernarfon:

Crowds gathered at Caernarfon's cenotaph where Wales' First Minister Carwyn Jones attended the ceremony.

He was joined by schoolchildren and veterans, some of whom were dressed in uniforms from World War 1.
