People encouraged to speak Welsh on 'Shwmae Day'
People in Wales are being encouraged to greet each other in Welsh today, to celebrate 'Shwmae' day.
It's the idea of 'Dathlu'r Cymraeg', who've held the event for the past four years - although this is the first time it's been held on a Saturday.
The organisers say a single Shwmae or Su'mae could spur hundreds and thousands more throughout the year, making sure Wales is well on the way to reaching a million Welsh speakers.
The target, announced by the Welsh Government at this year's National Eisteddfod, is to increase the number of Welsh speakers to one million by 2050.
As Shwmae / Su'mae Day falls on a Saturday this year, many workplaces, schools and colleges celebrated on Friday.
There's more information about the event on their website.
