£19million cocaine gang sentenced at Swansea Crown Court
A gang involved in a £19million cocaine conspiracy are being sentenced today at Swansea Crown Court.
The UK-wide conspiracy involved 20 people with the majority based in South Wales. During the investigation, 2.7kilos of high purity cocaine was seized in Dyfed-Powys police's biggest ever drugs bust.
Spearheading the illegal drug operation was Matthew Roberts, aged 32, of Llanelli. He sourced significant quantities of high purity cocaine from two separate gangs in Merseyside and Greater Manchester.
Dyfed-Powys Police says it's "the biggest most complex and detailed drugs investigation of its kind" for their Serious Organised Crime team.
