An Anglesey adventurer is challenging herself to paddleboard around the island in just five days.

Sian Sykes set off on Thursday and will paddleboard standing up for 120 kilometres through some of the toughest sections of the Anglesey coastline.

She says the trip will challenge her both mentally and physically, with strong winds and dangerous tides an ever-present threat without meticulous monitoring.

Sian, who was born in Snowdonia, used to work 18-hour days as a project director in London before deciding she wanted a better work-life balance.

She moved back to North Wales and founded her company Psyched Paddleboarding, teaching people the pastime she loves.

Sian was part of the first team to cross England on a paddleboard and the first person to stand-up paddleboard the three British lakes - Llyn Tegid, Windermere Lake and Loch Awe - in three days, unsupported.

Sian is undertaking her latest challenge to raise money for two charities close to her heart - the North Wales Wildlife Trust and Surfers Against Sewage.

Before setting off, she took time out of her training schedule to tell Carole Green about her adventure:
