Man in court charged with murder of young mother
A man is due to appear before Caernarfon magistrates on Friday, charged with the murder of a 22-year-old mother, who was found dead in her back garden in North Wales.
25-year-old David Nicholas Davies from Trefor, Caernarfon, was charged with the murder of Emma Louise Baum on Thursday.
Miss Baum's body was discovered at her home in Penygroes on Monday.
Police say the mother, who lived with her two-year-old son Steffan, died from severe head injuries.
Officers from North Wales Police were called to the house in Llwyndu Road at 10.45am, when the body was discovered - but had visited the area earlier following reports of a possible disturbance shortly after 4am.
The matter has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC).
North Wales Police are still appealing for members of the public to come forward with information.
A woman arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and assisting an offender was released on bail pending further inquiries.
