Charles 'surprised' at summer tour turnout given Euros
The Prince of Wales continues his annual summer tour of the country on Tuesday.
He will visit Aberdaron, near Pwllheli, alongside the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla.
The pair kicked off their five-day tour on Monday in Swansea, opening a 'remarkable' £450 million university campus, which officials say would not have been built without funding from the European Union.
But the Prince of Wales admitted he hadn't expected so many people would turn out to see him.
Whilst the heir to the throne steered clear of talking about Brexit, he did express his delight at seeing the Welsh football team remain in the Euros, saying it would make his yearly trip "more memorable".
In a speech, he joked: "I must admit I'm surprised there's anybody here at all today, bearing in mind that most of the principality seems to have gone to France for the football".
