History made as Wales made Euro 2016 semi-final
Wales reached their first ever semi-final of a major tournament with a magnificent 3-1 victory over Belgium in Lille.
On an incredible night in northern France, Wales went one better than their 1958 predecessors who reached the last eight of the World Cup. They also did it the hard way after falling behind to Radja Nainggolan's thunderous strike, with Ashley Williams, Hal Robson-Kanu and substitute Sam Vokes proving the goal-scoring heroes.
Wales' reaction to going down was swift, with Williams heading home an equaliser from an Aaron Ramsey corner.
Belgium made changes at the break, but with the impetus with Wales it was Chris Coleman who extended their lead - Hal Robson-Kanu collecting the ball in the box, before beautifully bypassing the Belgian defence with a Cruyff turn and placing the ball past Thibault Courtois in the Belgian net.
Belgium poured players forward in search of an equaliser - substitute Maroane Felliani missing a host of good chances - before Wales sealed the win through a fantastic Sam Vokes header at the near post just minutes from time.
They will now meet Portugal in the semi-final in Lyon on Wednesday, but must do so without Ben Davies and Aaron Ramsey, absolutely outstanding again here, who collected their second cautions of the tournament.
