Fans urged to drink responsibly ahead of Euro 2016 game against Northern Ireland

As thousands of supporters gear up to watch Wales play against Northern Ireland in the last 16, fans are being urged to drink responsibility.

The Welsh Ambulance Service and South Wales Police and Crime Commissioner are reinforcing the key message of Drink Less Enjoy More as fans prepare for the Wales' game in Paris on Saturday.

Chris Coleman’s side take part in the historic fixture at the Parc de Princes after topping their group.

Additional demands that might arise have been thought of in advance as Welsh Ambulance Service clinicians will be located at South Wales Police’s control room in Bridgend to help officers deal with medical incidents and triage calls.

Similar measures were put in place to cope with demand during this year’s Six Nations, which saw thousands of fans descend on Cardiff on match days.
