Year of Adventure: Pony Trekking on the Black Mountains
The Black Mountains form the north eastern ridge of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
Its rugged ridges create a remote landscape which is full of natural charm.
With 600 miles worth of bridleways and tracks, this area is a haven for horse riding.
The Griffiths family have owned a pony trekking centre here for the last 60 years.

Over the last ten years this pony trekking centre has seen people move away from more traditional pony trekking holidays, towards either half day or hour long trips.
But the family who run it say these mountains still have a very special allure.
