Children and young adults urged to get meningitis and cervical cancer vaccine
Open clinics have been set up to encourage children and young people in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan to get vaccinated against meningitis and HPV.
Teenage boys and girls are urged to get a new vaccine by the name of MenACWY to protect themselves against a potentially deadly meningitis.Girls are also being encouraged to get to HPV (human papilloma virus) vaccine, which prevents cervical cancer.
There will be open clinics held around Cardiff to encourage people to get their vaccines.
The locations and dates include:
27th April St David’s Hospital, Cowbridge Road East, Canton
4th May at Mary Lennox Room , Barry Hospital
6th May at Rumney Primary Care Centre, Barmouth Road
All sessions will run from 2pm-4pm.
