Residents campaign to save ancient woodland

Residents living in the Valleys village of Newbridge say they'll fight plans to fell ancient woodland near their homes, to make way for a new housing development.

There are plans for 136 houses to be built.

The opposition to the proposals follows recent protests against plans to build 700 homes on a mountain on the other side of the town.

83-year-old Cynthia Oakley is one of those against the plans.

She's lived in the village for more than sixty years.
