Louise was just nine when her online abuse started - she hopes her story will encourage others to see the signs
Louise was just nine years old when she started to be the victim of online abuse. She'd use internet chatrooms and it wasn't long before she started to be approached by men online.
Louise's mum became concerned and tried to stop things from going any further by taking her laptop away. But at 12, Louise was back in the chatrooms and became the target of one man whose messages quickly became inappropriate.
It was more than a year after these online relations and a seperate sexual assault that Louise finally went to the police. Today the NSPCC released figures showing an increase in the number of sexual offences against children being reported in Wales.

Louise hopes telling her story will help others who may have fallen victim to online predators and encourage them to come forward.
