Cardiff University student Vithiya Alphons has just two months to find a stem cell donor after she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of leukaemia.
She had just started her final year studying optometry when she began to feel unwell:
Despite chemotherapy the leukaemia was still in her blood. Doctors told Vithiya that her best option was a stem cell transplant, within the next two months. Unfortunately her brother was only a 50% match and her best chance of survival requires a closer match.
The blood cancer charity, Anthony Nolan, is now searching the world's donor register for a match. But finding a match is more complex because of her Sri Lankan background.
Her friends and family are now appealing for more people to come forward.
