Ground control to Major Tim! Swansea youngsters make space call to astronaut Tim Peake

Youngsters from Blaenymaes Primary School in Swansea had the opportunity of a lifetime today when they took part in a live webcast with British astronaut Tim Peake, all the way from the International Space Station.

There were an estimated 300,000 viewers watching on the internet, but only 300 pupils were lucky enough to be in the audience - despite over 10,000 applications!

Tim demonstrated a number of science activities and answered a whole host of questions - all of which were submitted by the kids.
