Tributes to father killed in car crash on New Year's Eve

Tributes have been paid to a father who died in a car crash on New Year's Eve.

Simon Lewis, from Trowbridge in Cardiff, died when the Daihatsu Sirion he was driving was involved in a collision with a blue Peugeot 307.

The crash happened on Lamby Way, Cardiff, at around 5.30pm on Thursday 31 December, about a quarter of a mile east of the Rover Way roundabout.

In a statement, Mr Lewis' family said the 33-year-old was due to become a father for the second time.

The driver of the Peugeot was taken to hospital, where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are urging anyone who saw the crash to contact them on the 101 number, quoting reference *480293.
