First Minister to visit flood-stricken parts of North Wales
First Minister Carwyn Jones will visit communities in North Wales that have been affected by the recent flooding today.
The First Minister will visit the Conwy Valley, Talybont and Beaumaris where he will offer his support to members of the emergency services, volunteers and local people, who've been affected by the flooding over the festive period.
The First Minister will also visit local roads to see the ongoing work to minimise the impact of the flooding on motorists.
He confirmed the Welsh Government will make £1million available immediately to local authorities to protect homes and properties.
The funding will help local authorities to carry out immediate repairs and maintenance to river and drainage schemes with homes and properties remaining the very top priority.
