Eurostar slammed by Wales fans for 'follow England to France' tweet

Rail operator Eurostar has been rapped by Wales fans on Twitter after a tweet only mentioning England supporters heading to France for next year's European Championships.

Wales will face England at Euro 2016 next summer after both sides were drawn in group B.

The tweet read "If you're following England to France for the football in 2016, are you #DoingADennis?".

The hashtag is a light-hearted reference to former footballer Dennis Bergkamp, whose fear of flying led him to travel to some away games by train or car.

Wales fans were critical of the omission of Wales from the tweet.

A spokesperson for Eurostar UK later tweeted to reassure fans that they looking forward to "a good summer of football", adding they would be "rooting for Wales and England at 2016... and Belgium and France too".
