A young woman from Pontypridd is hoping to reinvigorate a sense of community in the Valleys by encouraging young people to volunteer.

17-year-old Amy Benjamin is part of a group of local volunteers that take action to benefit the wider community.

She’s enlisted the help of Fixers – the campaign that gives young people a voice – to make her point.

Amy Benjamin says everyone knows volunteering can "make a difference to others' lives" but it also helps you socialise and make new friends.

Whether it’s cleaning graffiti, helping at a food bank or litter picking, there are plenty of options available for those who want to take part.

She hopes the campaign will inspire others to step up and "become their own community superhero."
