Here it is: Shirley Bassey's first ever Christmas song

Dame Shirley Bassey releases her first festive recording "The Christmas Song" with Brit-Award winning harmonisers Blake.

Blake and Dame Shirley Bassey will perform the song on the Graham Norton show on December 4th and also the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special on December 25th.

Blake toyed with the idea of writing a brand new original song but decided that when recording a voice as iconic as hers, only an absolute classic would do.

After recording the song Dame Shirley said, “I was quite overwhelmed because it just fits my voice so well. I was amazed how well our voices blended.”

Part of the money raised from sales of the song will go to the charity Variety and Dame Shirley's royalties will go to the children’s hospital, Noah’s Ark in Cardiff.
