A teenager from Port Talbot with cerebral palsy has become the first person in the UK to use a seated surfboard.

Carmarthen-based charity Cerebra have developed two new surfing products, to make it easier for children with disabilities to enjoy the water.

Thirteen-year old surf enthusiast Kai Lewis, who has cerebral palsy following a stroke at the age of one, was the first person to volunteer!

Our reporter Hannah Thomas went along to watch him take to the waves:

The charity have developed two products, a tandem surfboard with a seat that can be controlled by a trained surf instructor and a Surf Access Vehicle.

Both products have been designed for children with neurological conditions.
