The under-fire health board that runs health services in North Wales will remain in special measures for another two years.

Deputy Health Minister Vaughan Gething says the decision was made after a review of the progress made. Special measures have been in place since June 8.

An update is also expected this morning on the future of the suspended Chief Executive Trevor Purt. He hasn't been in his job since the board went into special measures.

UPDATE: Trevor Purt has resigned from his job. When I asked the health board about details of any severance payments I was told they can't comment.
