Royal reception for Rugby World Cup stars
The Queen and Prince Harry will welcome Rugby World Cup stars at a glittering reception at Buckingham Palace.
The royal family has already shown support for the Rugby World Cup by making appearances at several events and matches since its launch.
Harry and his brother the Duke of Cambridge, who is vice patron of the WRU, attended the clash between Wales and England but were cheering for different sides.
William and his wife Kate proudly sported the Welsh colours while Harry wore an England rugby shirt with the message "Carry Them Home" at the back.
At a welcoming party for the 20 competing nations, Harry spoke about his love for the sport.
He said: "As a passionate rugby fan, I will share in the rollercoaster of emotions with millions of other fans around the world between now and October 31.
"I believe that this World Cup - more than any before - has the potential to grow the game, both at home and abroad, by inspiring children of all backgrounds, and encouraging men and women of all ages and abilities, to embrace rugby."
About 400 guests are expected to attend the evening reception. As well as players from competing teams, the guest list will feature partners, staff and volunteers from the tournament.
