RSPCA investigates suspected cat poisonings in Cardiff

Seven cats have died in a suspected poisoning in Sevenoaks Road area of Ely, Cardiff.

Pet owners are urged to stay vigilant after seven cats died from suspected poisoning in Cardiff.

Four of the cats died in the Sevenoaks Road area of Ely, along with three others nearby, in the last few weeks.

The RSPCA is investigating after receiving a call from a concerned member of the public.

Poisoning an animal deliberately is a criminal offence, with a maximum penalty of up to six months imprisonment and/or a fine of up to £20,000.

The RSPCA advises anyone who is concerned that their pet might have been poisoned to contact the vet immediately and never attempt to self-treat.
