Prime Minister announces new investment and 250 jobs for Wales

250 new highly skilled jobs will be made as part of the Prime Minister's pledge to bring manufacturing work to Wales.

General Dynamics UK, based in Merthyr Tydfil, have been given a £390 million contract to service new Scout Specialist Vehicles for the Armed Forces.

The Scout SV is one of the Armed Forces most advanced digitised armoured vehicles. The contract will run until 2024.

Efforts are also underway to persuade the prestige car maker Aston Martin to set up a base in Wales, possibly at St Athan.
