It started as a novel way to say farewell to a much-loved teacher, but little did the pupils at a Newport school know they were actually making an internet hit.

The pupils at St Julian's Primary School, organised a flashmob to say bye to teacher Margaret Gabica, who retired on Wednesday after 25 years at the school. Mrs Gabica thought she was going down to the playground to see some of the pupils dance and was surprised when they did a routine just for her, along to one of her favourite songs from the Lion King musical.

Mrs Gabica returned to the school today to say her thank yous on the last day of term.
