New stamp plaques have been unveiled today featuring pictures of Welsh landmarks and icons to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Royal Mail's stamp programme.

A total of 50 special stamp plaques will be installed on postboxes across Wales and the rest of the UK, with each plaque featuring one of the most popular stamps that has a special connection with the particular city, town or village, in which it is located.

Other stamps on postboxes in Wales include poet and writer Dylan Thomas, Pontyscyllte Aqueduct, Llandudno Pier and Tenby lifeboat.

It is hoped that the special stamps on display will attract attention and admiration from locals and tourists alike.
