Hawk jet struck after RAF Valley display
The lead aircraft of the Red Arrows is being assessed after a bird strike.
The Hawk jet, Red One, was hit after taking part in a Red Arrows display in Anglesey yesterday afternoon.
The display team had been the star attraction at Families Day at the RAF station at Valley.
The pilot and an engineer who was also believed to be aboard the plane were unhurt. Onlookers said it had taken off from Valley to return to base in Lincolnshire when the mishap happened off Anglesey.
