A multi-million pound project to transform a deprived area of Swansea has finally been completed.

Just a few years ago Penllergare Valley Woods was a neglected, damaged and vandalised site, but thanks to volunteers it's now a place for all to enjoy.

The restoration work has transformed the waterfall, lake and created an ornamental pathway which can be used by wheelchairs and pushchairs.

The work cost around £456,000, with funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Today volunteers and staff from the Penllergare Trust, which led the project, will meet other organisations and celebrate the completion of the work.
