Pembroke tortoise fitted with toy wheels after rat attack
A 90-year-old tortoise has been given a set of wheels to help her move around.
The Tortoise, named Mrs T, lost her front legs after a rat attacked her as she hibernated over the winter.
Mrs T's owner, Dale Sinclair-Jones was horrified when he woke Mrs T from hibernation to see her front legs missing.
After running up a vet bill of £1000, it was feared Mrs T wouldn't survive without being able to move around.
Dale used his experience as a mechanical engineer to come up with a solution for Mrs T's mobility.
He created a special axel with wheels from a toy plane and stuck them to the shell of the tortoise.
An online campaign has seen donations pour in for the ancient tortoise, which has helped to cover the costs of the bills.
