Welsh Liberal Democrats pledge to double Wales's borrowing powers

Wales's ability to borrow cash to fund capital projects would increase to £1bn if the Liberal Democrats came into power, the party has announced today.

Roger Williams, deputy leader of the Welsh Liberal Democrats, says the party's General Election manifesto will include proposals to increase Wales's borrowing limit from £500million to around £1billion - giving Wales's proportional borrowing powers with Scotland.
