Plaid Cymru to set out hung parliament plans at spring conference

Plaid Cymru say they would prioritise more money for Wales and look to end austerity if the party holds the balance of power after May's election.

Plaid are gathering for their spring conference in Caernarfon where it's expected the the party's leader, Leanne Wood will spell out her post-election demands.

They are likely to include similar funding levels per head of population for Wales and Scotland and according to Plaid this would net Wales and extra £1.2 billion.

Sources close to the leader claim they're not ruling out a formal coalition after May's general election, but, say it's unlikely. Instead it seems they're focusing on an informal arrangement that would see issues discussed on a case by case basis. In the past the party have distanced themselves from a deal with the Conservatives which leaves Labour as the only realistic partner.
