With this year's BRIT Awards almost upon us, three kittens named after nominees Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith and George Ezra are hoping to strike a chord with potential new owners.

The black-and-white kittens, at RSPCA Bryn-y-Maen Animal Centre in Upper Colwyn Bay, are around seven weeks old and seeking new homes.

Kennel and cattery supervisor Chris Butler said playful George is the most confident of his litter and would suit a family home.

Sam is also friendly and playful and can live within a family with other cats - but not dogs.

Ed is the fluffiest and will need an experienced owner who is used to long-haired cats to keep him groomed and gorgeous.

The kittens' mother, Duffy - named after the Welsh singer who scooped three BRIT awards in 2009 - is also seeking a new home with an older family who would love just one cat.

Anyone interested in rehoming the kittens or another animal from Bryn-y-Maen Animal Centre is asked to call 0300 123 0745 or email brynymaen@rspca.org.uk.
