Warren Gatland rued his side's 'inaccuracy' in the second half, after Wales slumped to a 21-16 defeat in their opening Six Nations defeat to England at the Millennium Stadium.

The Wales coach said mistakes after half time cost his side the game.

Wales got off to the ideal start - a Leigh Halfpenny penalty and converted try by Rhys Webb seeing them take a 10-0 lead after 8 minutes. England came back into it courtesy of an Anthony Watson try - with outside half George Ford later adding a penalty - but 3 more points from Halfpenny and a Biggar drop goal gave Wales a useful 16-8 lead going into half time. But England enjoyed supremacy after the break, scoring an unanswered 13 points to finish deserved winners. Wales captain Sam Warburton had no complaints.

The defeat means Wales now face a tough trip to Scotland next Sunday with their hopes of a Triple Crown and Grand Slam in ruins after one match. After the game the England coaches downplayed the significance of this result ahead of the World Cup showdown on September 26th . But defence coach Andy Farrell insisted England could have won by a wider margin on the night.
