Plaid Cymru leader, Leanne Wood was first off the grid today in quizzing the First Minister. Health was the topic. She spoke specifically about Accident and Emergency targets. She asked the First Minister why he thought that waiting times were growing longer?

Leanne made the point that pressures in Accident and Emergency is because of a shortage of doctors and reiterated Plaid's call for a thousand new doctors for Wales.

Kirsty Williams, the Leader of the Welsh Liberal Democrats asked Carwyn Jones about the Foundation Phase for three to seven year olds which was introduced in 2008. In her view it had failed. She wanted to know why?

Finally, it was the Leader of the Opposition, Andrew RT Davies to get to his feet.He also wanted to explore the problems experienced by patients waiting to be seen in A and E.Although he welcomed the extra 40 million pounds injected into the Health Service in Wales, RT was doubtfull that it would build in any real resilience.
